½ c. butter, softened
½ c. shortening
2 tsp. water
2 c. flour
¾ c. walnuts, chopped
⅓ c. sugar
2 tsp. walnut extract
confectioners’ sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter, shortening, and sugar. Mix in water and walnut extract, then flour and nuts. Chill 3-4 hours. Form dough into 3” crescents. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325º for 15 minutes. Do not let brown. Remove from cookie sheet, cool slightly, and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
