1/4 cup butter
1 cup yellow corn meal
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 T. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
1 egg, beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 400 degrees. In 8 or 9 inch square baking
pan, melt butter in oven; tilt pan to coat bottom evenly.
In a mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients. Add melted
butter, milk and egg; mix just until blended. Pour into
hot pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown
and wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out
clean.
