½ cup shortening
½ cup brown sugar
¾ cup sugar
1 egg

1 tsp vanilla
2 cup flour
½ tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder

Paste:
¼ cup butter
¼ cup sugar
4 Tbsp nuts, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Shape the cookie dough into a roll. Wrap into foil or wax paper and chill overnight. With a rolling pin, roll the dough out like a jelly roll. Make the butter paste and spread onto the dough. Roll up like a cinnamon roll, then cut into ½” thick slice. Bat at 425º for 10 minutes.
