¼ c. milk
2T. light corn syrup
1½ c. sifted confectioners’ sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
In a saucepan mix sugar and cocoa. Then stir in butter, milk, and corn syrup. Bring to a boil. Boil 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, take out the spoon, and set the saucepan in cold water. When you can hold your hand on the bottom of the saucepan, the syrup is cool enough. Now stir in confectioners’ sugar and vanilla extract.
Stir the icing until thick enough to spread. Add more confectioners’ sugar or milk if needed to get the icing to the desired consistency.
