1 cup white syrup
½ cup water
3 cups sugar
½ teaspoon salt
3 cups raw peanuts
½ stick oleo, use vegetable not corn
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoons soda

Directions:
Directions:
Combine syrup, water and sugar and heat until boiling rapidly. Then pour in salt and peanuts. Cook at high heat until peanuts begin to tan lightly. Add oleo and vanilla, stir constantly until mixture is blended and oleo is melted. Add soda, stir throughly. When soda is well dissolved, begin to dip with large spoon into well buttered pie pans, 1 heaping large spoonful to each pan. Then shake out until it covers the bottom of the pie pan. Work fast putting candy in pans. Let cool. DO NOT get this mixture on your skin. It will give 1st degree burns. To clean pans, put in hot water immediately.
