½ cup softened butter
½ cup softened shortening
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups flour
2 cups Quick Quacker Oats
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda added to ¼ cup boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla
rind of 1 lemon

Directions:
Directions:
Combine ingredients.
Form small balls and flatten with fork.
Bake 350 degrees F. for 10 - 12 minutes
