1 head of iceberg lettuce or 3 stalks of romaine

1 diced green pepper, diced

1 cup of diced celery

1 chopped onion

2 cups of fresh or frozen peas, uncooked

2-4 Tablespoons of brown sugar, depending on personal taste

½-1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½-1 cup crisp bacon bits


Directions:

Prepare salad in a large bowl or 9x13 dish

Add ingredients one at a time in order given, each a separate layer.

Do not toss. Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours or overnight.

If serving in a 9x13 dish, serve without tossing.

If serving in a bowl, toss before serving.
