Cookies:
1 c brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp soda
1 1/2 c flour
1/2 c margarine (or butter)
1/2 c buttermilk
1/4 c cocoa
nuts

Frosting:
1/2 stick oleo (or butter)
2 c powdererd sugar
milk or coffee
vanilla
Optional: cocoa

Directions:
Directions:
Cookies: Mix ingredients together, Chill dough before baking. Make teaspoon size balls and bake at 350º for 8-10 minutes.

Frosting: Melt 1/2 stick oleo. Add 2 c powdered sugar. Add milk or coffee until consistency is right and then add a splash of vanilla! If chocolate frosting is needed, add cocoa to the above.

From Mom: Back on the farm - Cory, Kelsey & Kalli would come. I think they must have discussed what they were going to get me to do when they got there. Kelsey would say "Grandma, can we make chocolate drop cookies" I would say "we'll see" - Kalli would be ready to whip them up. We would get a good start - all of a sudden Kelsey was gone, but showed back up when they were baked and ready to frost!
