1 c sugar
1/2 c butter
3 c flour
2 eggs
1 tsp soda
1 c ground or slivered almonds
1/2 c sour milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the sugar & butter. Add the flour then add the remaining ingredients. Mix and shape into 2 long rolls on greased cookie sheet (grease hands as dough is sticky). Bake about 25 minutes in 300º oven. Cut into 1/2" slices and toast (bake) first on one side, then on the other side in a 250º to 300º oven till rusks are light brown - toasting time about 45 minutes. Good with butter on them. Can be eaten either way.
