1 loaf French bread, sliced
3 to 4 med. tomatoes, chopped and seeded
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 Tbsp. olive oil
2 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup fresh basil, stems removed and chopped
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. shredded mozzarella
1 c. shredded parmesan

In a large mixing bowl, combine the tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, vinegar, basil, salt and pepper. Allow the mixture to set for at least 10 minutes. Slice bread into 3/4 inch slices and arrange in a single layer on a baking sheet. Preheat the oven to broiler setting. Broil for 1 minute or until slightly browned. Divide the tomato mixture evenly over bread slices and top each with grated cheeses. Broil until cheeses are melted.
