½ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
½ C. shortening
2 C. Sifted flour
3 tsp Baking Powder
1 C. milk
Add 2 beaten egg whites last and stir in gently

Bake in a 375º oven in loaf or 2 layer cake tins for 35 min. or so.
