1 can chick peas or 1½ cups cooked chickpeas
¼ cup fresh lemon juice
¼ cup well stirred tahini
1 small garlic clove minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
½ teaspoon cumin
salt to taste
2 to 3 tablespoons water
cut up hot pickled pepper slices

Directions:

in bullet combine tahini and lemon juice and process for 1 minute, scrape
the sides and process for 30 seconds.
Add the olive oil, minced garlic, cumin and ½ tsp salt.
Process 30 seconds, scrape sides and 30 seconds more.
rinse chickpeas. add half to bullet, process 1 minute.
scrape sides and bottom, add other half. process 1 to 2 minutes until smooth.
