1 cup (2 sticks) margarine or butter (softened)
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 + 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 + 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
3 cups quaker oats (quick or old fashioned)
1 cup sun-maid raisins

Directions:

Heat oven to 350 F..

Beat margarine + sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well.

Combine: flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Add to margarine mixture + mix well.

Stir in oats and raisins; Mix well.

Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 10-12 minutes @ 350 F. or until golden brown.

Cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute and remove to wire rack. Cool completely. Store in airtight container.

Makes about 4 dozen 2 + 1/2 inch cookies.
