1 cup butter, softened
¼ to ½ cups granulated or confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon almond extract or 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups flour
¼ teaspoon salt
1 to 2 cups chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats and set aside. In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together the butter and sugar. Add flavorings, flour, salt, and nuts. Shape into balls. Bake in batches for 10 to 12 minutes or until the cookies are set and the bottom is lightly browned. Allow cookies to cool slightly for about 5 minutes, then roll each cookie in powdered sugar while still warm.
