Ingredients:
1 whole chicken
3.5 qts. milk
2 Tablespoons Crisco
2 cups SR flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cook whole chicken in crock pot on low over night or about 8 hrs. until tender. When done, drain all of drippings from chicken and put in a 6 qt pan or larger. Pick chicken from bone and add to pan. Add 3 qts milk and bring to a boil. In a separate bowl stir flour and crisco together. Add enough milk, about 1/2 cup, till flour mixture is a little thinner than a biscuit flour mixture. When chicken drippings and milk are boiling drop heaping tablespoon of your flour mixture in. Turn heat down till dumplings are just bubbling good and won't boil over. Cover, not air tight, check in about 10 minutes to see if dumpings are not doughy. Don't lift lid too much or it will make dumplings packy.
