¼ cup shortening
1/2 cup butter - softened
1-cup sugar
¼ cup molasses
1 egg
2 tsp baking soda
2 cups flour
½ tsp gloves
½ tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp salt


1/3 cup sugar to roll cookies in.

Directions:
Directions:

Mix shortening, butter and sugar until blended. Add molasses & egg and mix well. Add all remaining dry ingredients and stir until completely blended. Refrigerate until firm – then form dough into 1 inch balls, roll in granulated sugar and place on greased cookie sheet.

Bake 350 – about 10 minutes.
