Base:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 t baking powder
1 lump butter
Flour

Pudding:
1 cup sugar
1 cup boiling water
1 1/2 cup fruit
1 lump butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix base ingredients together add enough flour to make stiff dough. Spread in bottom of pan. Mix sugar, fruit butter and boiling water together. Pour over batter and bake.

I found four note cards with this recipe on it. None of them had what temp or how long to bake nor how much flour to add. It's fun to read these and realize so much of the baking was done based on previous experience.
