1 cups sifted cake flour
1½ cups sugar
2 tbsps sugar
12 egg whites
1½ tsps cream of tartar
¼ tsp salt
1½ tsps vanilla
½ tsp almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375ºF.

In a bowl, combine flour and 1 cup sugar. In another bowl combine egg whites, cream of tartar and salt. Beat until foamy. Slowly add remaining sugar. Beat until stiff. Blend in vanilla and almond extract. Slowly blend flour mixture into egg white mixture. Place batter in an ungreased 10" tube pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Invert on a wire rack to cool.
