4 c. rhubarb
c. granulated tapioca*
1 c. sugar
butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425. Mix together tapioca and sugar and mix with rhubarb. Let stand for 15 minutes. Pour into pie shell. Dot with butter. Cover with another pie crust. Bake for 15 minutes at 425 then reduce heat to 350 for another 40-45 minutes.

* In later years Lizzie may have used clear jel instead of tapioca. She also made this pie with a lattice top.
