3 egg whites, at room temperature
1 c. sugar
½ tsp. baking powder
dash salt
1 c. chopped English walnuts
½ c. dates, finely diced
whipped cream
fresh raspberries, for garnish
fresh mint, for garnish

Directions:
Directions:
Beat the first four ingredients until fairly stiff, like meringue. Add walnuts and dates. Spread in well-buttered pie plate and bake at 325º for 45 minutes. Chill overnight in the fridge.

Spread a layer of whipping cream (or cool whip) on pie approximately two hours before serving. Garnish with fresh raspberries and mint leaves, if desired.
