1 lb Hamburger
1 - 2 cloves of minced
1 tablespoons of whole basil
1 tsp salt
1 12 oz can of tomato paste
10 oz of lasagne noodles
2 cans 12 oz tomato sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp sugar
3 cups/1 carton of 2% cottage cheese
1 small carton of ricotta cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons of parsley flakes
2 eggs beaten
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 - 2 pounds of mozzarella cheese shredded, also sliced very thin

Brown meat slowly; spoon off fat and drain. Add all the remaining ingredients. Simmer uncovered about 1/2 hours stirring occasionally. Taste and make sure enough garlic and seasonings......

Mean while, cook the lasagne noodles until tender in a large pot of salted water - this may take about 15 minutes. Drain and rinse in cold water. Separate on spread out to cool.

Mix the cottage cheese, ricotta, parmesan cheese, parsley flakes, eggs, salt and pepper.

Place a row of noodles in the bottom of a 13 x 9 x 2 baking dish; spread meat sauce then cheese filling on top: cover with the mozzarella. Repeat the layers. Should get about 3 - 4.

Bake in moderate oven 375 for about 60 minutes. Before cutting into squares let rest for 10 minutes.
