1 ½ Pounds ground beef
1 Egg
1 Onion, chopped
1 Green bell pepper chopped
1 Cup milk
1 Cup Italian bread crumbs
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
2 Tablespoons dijon mustard
1/3 Cup ketchup
½ Garlic powder
½ American Soul seasoning salt
½ Onion powder

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350ºF. (175ºC). In a large bowl, combine the beef, egg, onion, bell pepper milk, and Italian bread crumbs OR cracker crumbs. Season with ½ garlic powder, ½ American Soul seasoning salt, ½ onion powder (to taste), and place in a lightly greased 5x9 inch loaf pan, or form into a loaf and place in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish. In a separate small bowl, combine the brown sugar, mustard, and ketchup. Mix well and pour over the meatloaf. Bake at 350ºF. (175ºC) for 1 hour.

I sat for days and days with so many things going on in my head (just sitting there swinging my legs from the side of the bed). What was He trying to tell me? As I walked into the kitchen numerous times, looking for the answer, I was reminded of the last I saw her pacing back and forth in my own kitchen. I thought this made no sense that my mother's life and mine were now intertwined, but I was determined to figure it out; but WHY?
