Blueberry Pie Recipe

Nechama Shain


1 1/2 C flour
1/2 C sugar
1 stick margarine (softened)
1/4 tsp lemon juice
3/4 tsp baking powder
1 egg
can of blueberry pie filling

1. Place all ingredients in a bowl.
2. Mix well by hand to form a dough
3. Press some dough into pan, building up the sides
4. Place pie filling on dough
5. Roll out some dough on a floured board
6. Cut thin strips of dough
7. Criss-cross strips across the filling
8. Roll a strip of dough into a long rope, and place around the edge to finish off

(My personal preference: steps 5-8, I roll out and flatten in my hands, instead of doing on a surface, and cutting strips)

9. Sprinkle with some sugar, and bake at 350 F until slightly browned.
