3 beaten eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cube melted butter
2 tsp vanilla
1 Tbsp Anise seed (or liquor)
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix eggs, sugar and butter. Continue to beat while adding vanilla and Anise. In a separate bowl mix flour, baking powder, salt and nuts. Add egg mixture to dry ingredients. Mix the dough on a board adding flour as needed to form 3 logs. Place them on a sprayed cookie sheet and bake in a 375 degree oven for 25 minutes. Check center of loaves with a toothpick, done when comes out clean. Cool slightly, then slice diagonally. Lay slices on cookie sheet and return to the turned off oven. Leave in oven until cool.
