1 ¼ cups water, divided
5 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
½ cup low sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
2 large cloves of garlic, finely minced
¾ teaspoon ground ginger
2 tablespoons corn starch
1 package (32 ounces) frozen meatball
1 can (8 ounces) crushed pineapple in juice
Toasted sesame seeds and chopped scallions for garnish

Directions:

Combine 1 cup water, brown sugar, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger into a sauce pan. Bring the sauce to a simmer, stirring to blend. Combine the corn starch with ¼ cup cold water until well blended. Add the corn starch mixture to the saucepan and heat until the sauce thickens and coats the back of a spoon. Place the frozen meatballs into the slow cooker. Pour the teriyaki sauce and pineapple over the meatballs and stir gently to coat the meatballs with the sauce. Heat for 4 to 5 hours on low. Serve and garnish the meatballs with the sesame seeds and scallions, if desired.
