1/2 C chopped onion
4 Tbl. butter or margarine
1/4 C all purpose flour
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 C milk
1 16 oz. can whole kernel corn, drained
8 smoked sausage links, sliced
1 8 oz. can lima beans (optional}

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan, saute the onion in butter till tender, but not brown. Blend in the flour, salt, and pepper. Add the milk all at once. Bring to boiling and stir till thick and bubbly, about 1 minute.

Stir in the corn, sausage, and lima beans. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.
