"The tradition of Italian cooking is that of the matriarch. This is the cooking of grandma. She didn't waste time thinking too much about the celery. She got the best celery she could and then she dealt with it."--Mario Batali

2 sticks butter
½cup Crisco

5 eggs
3 cups all purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 cup sweet milk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 teaspoon pure lemon extract
1 teaspoon pure almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream butter and Crisco.
2. Add sugar and salt-cream together.
3 Add eggs one at a time.
4. Add flour and milk alternately.
5. Fold in flavorings by hand.
6. Bake in greased and floured Bundt pan 325º for 1 hour 25 minutes.

Hint: I always put a piece of aluminum foil under the pan because sometimes the cake tends to run over the pan and make a mess of the oven.
