1 cup butter softened
½ cup confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2¼ cups all purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
¾ cup finely chopped pecans
1 bowl of confectioners' sugar for rolling cookies

Directions:
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 400º.
2. Mix thoroughly butter, confectioner's sugar, and vanilla.
3. Work in flour and salt.
4. Add pecans until dough holds together.
5. Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
6. Place on ungreased baking sheet.

7. Bake 10-12 minutes or until set but not brown.
8. While warm, roll in confectioners's sugar (put sugar in bowl-about a cup)
9. Cool.
10. Roll in sugar again.
