Chicken
2 cups flour
salt and pepper to taste
2 eggs
"cold water"
approx. 3 tbs shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Boil a chicken (3 to 4 pounds) Remove chicken from broth and bone out, leave chicken in a bowl until dumplings are almost done then return to pot

Dumplings
In a bowl mix above with water until firm, not soupy. Turn out onto floured area and knead until dough is "tough". Roll dough with a dough pin until about a 1/4" thick. Cut into strips and add to chicken broth. Make sure its a rolling boil before you add your dumplings. Don't stir but turn them with a large spoon, that way they won't break up into a mush. Add your chicken and your done
