c margarine or butter
⅓ c flour
1 tsp salt
⅛ tsp pepper
1 c chicken broth
1 c milk
1 c cooked white or wild rice
2 c cut-up cooked chicken
1 4 oz can mushrooms, drained
c chopped green pepper
2 tbs chopped pimento
c slivered almonds

Directions:

Melt margarine in 2 qt saucepan. Blend in flour, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until bubbly. Remove from heat and stir in broth and milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil for 1 minute. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into ungreased 2 qt casserole dish. Cook uncovered in 350 oven for 40-45 minutes
