2 c. butter, softened
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
4 c. oats
1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda
tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 350. Cream the butter and sugar. Add the egg and vanilla. Add the salt and baking soda to the flour. Add to the butter/sugar mixture. Stir in the oats. Chill the dough. Roll into small balls, place on parchment paper covered cookie sheet and flatten slightly. Bake 10 - 12 minutes. Makes 5 - 6 dozen cookies
