12 eggs, separated
1 c. sugar
1 ½ c. bourbon
½ c. brandy
6 c. whole milk
1 c. heavy or whipping cream, whipped
Ground nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl with mixer at low speed, beat egg yolks and sugar until blended. At high speed, beat until thick and lemon-colored, frequently scraping bowl with rubber spatula. One tablespoon at a time, beat in bourbon and brandy (egg-yolks mixture may curdle if bourbon and brandy are beaten in too quickly). Cover bowl and chill.

Make this about 2 hours before serving or early in day.
