1 Loaf of French bread
cup (1 stick) butter, softened
8 cloves of garlic, very minced
⅛ cup fresh parsley, chopped
1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese, freshly grated (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to broil. Slice the bread in half lengthwise. Mix together the remaining 4 ingredients and spread evenly on cut side of bread. Place bread, cut/buttered side up, on a cookie sheet and broil until butter is melted and lightly toasted.
