6 cups flour
1 cube of fresh yeast (2 oz)
2 cups lukewarm water- divided
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 stick melted margarine (1/2 cup oil)
2 teaspoon grated rind of lemon
1 Tablespoon (Brandy) Schnapps

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in 1 cup lukewarm water and 1 Tablespoon sugar
Mix the rest of ingredients in mixer bowl (using challah bowl and piece)
Add in the yeast and mix
Add in 1 teaspoon of salt after yeast is mixed in
Cover and let rise until it doubles in size (1 hour)
Roll out dough and cut out circles, let circles rise for 20 minutes
Deep fry in oil- bubbling oil but not too hot. In deep fryer it is 340 degrees
Fill with custard, caramel, jelly
Sprinkle on confectioners sugar
Made 40-50 doughnuts- I used 3rd to biggest circle from red set
