3 cups crushed strawberries ... 5 cups sugar
1 box Sure Jell ... 1 cup water
clean canning jars/lids - can reuse jars from grocery items

Step 1 - Combine strawberries with sugar. Stir together and let stand 20 mins., stirring occasionally.

Step 2 - Combine the Sure Jell and water in saucepan, bring to boil for 1 min.

Step 3 - Pour Sure Jell mixture over berry mixture, stir for 2 mins. till sugar is dissolved.

Step 4 - Pour into pint canning jars but do not overfill to top! Cap and let set for 24 hrs. before freezing.
**Stir batch occasionally while filling jars to keep sugar from settling**

NOTE: **Do not combine more than twice the recipe at a time**
---1/2 flat makes 7-8 pints which is a double recipe
---recipe x 6 - 26-27 pints which takes 9 qts. berries (18 cups crushed), 15 lbs. sugar, 6 boxes of Sure-Jell
