"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Note: This is a recipe that Helen Werk made for her family at least once a week! It became a favorite of all of her grandchildren. Whenever they showed up unexpectedly at dinner time, (which was quite often) she could always whip this up in no time. They never got sick of it and it seems that as each grandchild got married their spouse had to learn how to make "Grandma Hotdish".
