4 to 5 lbs. chuck roast
1. Cup tomato sauce
1/2 tsp pepper
1 Tbsp salt
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1Tbsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp allspice
3-4 bay leaves
2-3 sticks cinnamon
1 cup burgundy wine
2 cups water
1/4 cup ketchup
1 pkg Italian seasoning
1 Tbsp minced garlic
1 head cabbage cut up

Fresh French bread

Directions:
Directions:
Salt and pepper roast
Add ingredients in a large pan, mix well
Add seasoned roast
Put in 300 degrees oven, cook all day
Or until roast is tender
About 1 hr before serving add
2 qts of water, and cut up cabbage.
Cook for about another 1 hr

Cut French bread in slices
When done put French bread in juice to
Soak up the juice

We like to serve orange soda and dill pickles.
My grandkids like the bread on the side, not soaked in the juice, but most of us
Like our bread soaked in the juice.
I do this recipe for birthday dinners
