bbq rub

2 Slabs of baby back ribs

Liquid smoke of your choice

2 bottles of bbq sauce of your choice ( I sometimes make my father's bbq sauce)









Directions:
Directions:
Trim any excess fat from the ribs, make a cut through the membrane on the underside of the ribs between each bone.

Sprinkle the liquid smoke onto the ribs and rub all over, next season heavily and rub and pat gently onto the ribs, wrap the ribs in clear plastic wrap and let the ribs marinade over night

Remove the plastic and place in a baking sheet pan or roasting pan, place in oven on 350 degrees and brown on both sides, after browning brush on bbq sauce reduce heat to 300 degrees, slice ribs add the rest of the bbq sauce and cover with foil and cook until tender.

1 1/4C brown sugar, 1/4c chili powder, 1/4C paprika, 1Tonion powder, 1T garlic powder, 1T salt, 2tsp. black pepper, 2tsp. cayenne, 1tsp. cumin, 1tsp.dry mustard

whisk together all ingredients and store in sealed air tight container
 

Grandpa Robert's bbq sauce

1C of ketchup

1C apple cider vinegar

1/2C brown sugar

1/2C molasses

2T mustard

1/4C lemon juice

1T liquid smoke

1T bbq spice

Place all ingredients into sauce pan and whisk together to blend, cook until slightly thickened
