Rubarb Cake Recipe

1 1/2 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. liquid shortening

1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
stir it

1 1/2 c. diced rubarb slice rubarb really thin

1/2 c. nuts, chopped
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
Combine top 4 ingredients and add to sifted dry stuff. Pour in pan.


1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 T. melted butter
sprinkle on top

Bake 350
40 minutes
9x13 pan
