2 cups Flour
1/4 tspn salt
1/2 tspn baking powder
1/2 cup butter

ICING:
1 cup confectioners' sugar
few drops of lemon juice 1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 TBspns brandy (I skip this)
1/2 tspn vanilla
1 egg white

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together dry ingredients.
In an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar; add egg, brandy, and vanilla and beat well.
Add dry ingredients a little at a time and mix until well blended.
Wrap and chill dough for at least 30 minutes before rolling.
Preheat oven to 400.

On a lightly floured board,roll out 1/3 of the dough at a time.
Roll to about 1/8 inch thick and cut out with cookie cutters.
Put shapes on buttered baking sheets and bake for 10 minutes.
Do not allow to brown.
Cool on racks.
Mix icing ingredients until smooth.
Spread on cooled cookies and sprinkle with colored sugars, or pipe designs in various colors onto cookies with pastry bag.

Bake at 400º for 10 Minutes
