1 lb. ground beef
3 slices bread, grated
cup rolled oats
1 tsp. salt
tsp. pepper
1 egg (slightly beaten)
cup milk
cup chopped onion
Ketchup

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Mix ground beef and dry ingredients. Add egg, milk and onion. Mix well with hands. Place in 8x8x2 inch square glass pan. Shape into loaf. Make 3 indentations on top of the loaf and fill with ketchup. Bake for one hour, 5 minutes.

I always chuckle to myself about the precise "1 hour and 5 minutes" baking time on my mom's recipe. But I have to say, it comes out baked absolutely perfect every time. That's my mom!
