1 stick butter
1-¼ cup sugar
1 cup self-rising flour (Note: The cobbler won't raise if you use regular flour)
1 cup milk
2 cups blackberries (frozen or fresh)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350º F.
2. Melt butter in the microwave.
3. Pour 1 cup of sugar and flour into a mixing bowl and whisk in the milk. Mix well.
4. Pour melted butter into the batter and whisk it all together.
5. Butter an 8x8x8 baking dish
6. Rinse and pat dry the blackberries.
7. Pour the batter into the buttered baking dish.
8. Sprinkle blackberries over the top of the batter, distributing evenly.
9. Sprinkle ¼ cup sugar over the top of the batter.

Bake for 1 hour, or until golden and bubbly. If desired, sprinkle an additional teaspoon of sugar of the cobbler 10 minutes before it's done.
