1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cocoa
3 Tbsp. flour
1 st. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. milk

Directions:

Mix dry ingredients together. Add milk & butter. Cook over low heat & stir until thickened. Before serving, add vanilla an stir well. Serve over hot buttermilk biscuits!

Before getting on the school bus, I'd go next door to the Thornburgs' house to wait. Ms. Thornburg would sometimes give me a hot biscuit with this delicious chocolate gravy all over it. I loved it! It's funny how certain foods will stir memories from your childhood. This is a good memory. :)
