1 c. butter, softened
1 c. oil
1 c. sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt
additional sugar or cinnamon sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Thoroughly cream butter, oil, sugar & powdered sugar. Add vanilla & eggs; mix well. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar & salt. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture & mix well. Roll a teaspoon of soft dough into a ball. Roll ball in a bowl of sugar or cinnamon sugar to coat evenly. Place on a cookie sheet. With the bottom of a glass, press dough down lightly to flatten a bit. Bake at 375 for 5-8 minutes or until edges just begin to brown.
