Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 c. self-rising flour
¼ c. oil
1 ¼ c. buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425º. Spray a baking sheet with a non-stick cooking spray.

Blend flour & oil using a fork. Add buttermilk and stir until well moistened. You want your dough to be "sticky". (If it is too dry, add a little more milk at a time to get it to the right consistency. If it's too moist, add a little more flour.)

Turn out onto a lightly floured surface. I like using my pastry sheet for this.0(Easier cleanup) Sprinkle a small amount of flour over dough. Knead lightly, about 30 seconds. Roll out to a thickness of ½". Cut dough using a biscuit cutter or small cup. Dip your cutter in flour in between cuts so the dough won't stick to it. Place your biscuits on baking sheet, edges touching each other.

Bake approx. 20 minutes or until golden brown.

NOTE: If you prefer thinner biscuits, roll your dough out to about ¼" thickness.

I'm very thankful Granny taught me how to make a great biscuit when I was still at home. (Dad appreciated it too!) There's nothing much better than sitting down with the family for a "Big Breakfast" meal! I love it!
