½ cup butter or margarine
1 cup all purpose flour
2 tbsp. granulated sugar
½ cup nuts, finely chopped (optional)
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 cup icing
1 cup whipping cream
1-4oz. serving size instant chocolate pudding
1½ cups milk
1-4oz. instant vanilla pudding
1½ cups milk

Directions:

Melt butter; stir in flour, sugar and nuts. Press in 9" x 13" pan. Bake in 325ºF oven for 15 minutes. Cool. Blend well cream cheese and icing sugar. Spread over cooled base. Whip cream until stiff. Spread ½ over cheese layer. Beat chocolate pudding mix with first amount of milk for 2 minutes. Pour over cream layer. Beat vanilla pudding mix with second amount of milk for 2 minutes. Pour over chocolate layer. Top with second ½ whipped cream. Garnish with shaved chocolate. Chill overnight.
