c. Hy-Vee white vinegar

c. Hy-Vee granulated sugar

tsp. Hy-Vee salt

1 red onion, thinly sliced

4 (5-oz. each) 85%-lean ground chuck patties

4 Hy-Vee bakery hamburger buns

3 c. fresh arugula

1 cucumber, thinly sliced

c. crumbled gorgonzola cheese

For the onions, bring vinegar, sugar and salt to a simmer.

Pour over sliced onion and let stand at least 20 minutes at room temperature. Drain thoroughly.

Lightly grease grill rack. Prepare a charcoal or gas grill for direct cooking over medium heat.

Grill patties for 10 to 12 minutes or until internal temperature of patties are 160 degrees, turning once halfway through.

To assemble burgers, top bottom bun with arugula, grilled patty, cucumber, red onion, gorgonzola and top bun.
