6 slices bacon
1/4 cup diced green onions
1/2 cup vinegar
1/4 cup water
1/2 tsp salt
4 tsp sugar
8 cups leaf lettuce, torn into bite-sized pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Cook bacon until crisp; drain and crumble. Reserve drippings.
Add onions to drippings and cook until tender. Add vinegar and 1/4 cup water, sugar, 1/2 tsp salt and bacon. Cook and stir until boiling.
Place lettuce in a glass bowl, pour hot dressing over, and toss.
