2 c. rolled oats
1 c. Crisco shortening
4 c. boiling water
2 Tbsp. salt
2/3 c brown sugar
***Mix and set to lukewarm temp. Oats will swell.
2 packets dry yeast
1 c. warm water
***Soak yeast in warm water.
12-13 cups of flour

Directions:
Directions:
Stir in about 6 cups flour into oatmeal mixture. Then add yeast. Add remainder of the flour and knead just until your hands are no longer sticking to the dough. Grease and cover the lump of dough. Let it rise about to double. Punch down and make into balls. Let buns rise again. Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes or so.
