Crock Pot recipes


1½ lbs. ground beef
1½ cups onions, chopped
1 cup green pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 - 15oz. cans kidney beans, rinsed and drained
2 - 15oz. cans tomato sauce
1 - 14½oz. can diced tomatoes, undrained
2-3 tbsps. chili powder
1-2 tsps. dry hot mustard
¾ tsp. dried basil
½ tsp. black pepper
1 - 2 dried hot chili peppers (optional)

Cook ground beef, onion, bell pepper and garlic in large skillet until meat is browned and onion is tender. Drain fat and discard. Transfer mixture to 5 quart slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours or on high 4-5 hours. If used, remove chili peppers before serving.
